Gym Rules & Regulations
The following rules and regulations have been established to make or students' time in the gym as safe and productive as possible.
- Proper attire is required
- Boys: shorts, tee-shirts, sweat suits, jogging suits.
- Girls: shorts, tee-shirts, sweat suits, jogging suits, leotards, tights (without feet).
- Tee-shirts must be well tucked in, loose clothing is dangerous.
- Bike-type shorts over a leotard is a perfect solutions for girls.
- Skirts, jeans, cut-offs, zippers, belts, hats and other street clothing are not acceptable.
- Bare feet are preferred.
- Long hair must be tied back.
- No jewelry is to be worn.
- No gum, candy, food or drink (except water) is allowed in the gym.
- Students only in the gym during class.
- Students may not be in the gym unsupervised at any time.
- Gymnastic chalk must be used during bar lessons (chalk creates friction for better grip).
- Good participation skills are stressed as part of our program. Unruly behavior is dangerous in the gym and is unfair to others.
- A warm-up activity will precede all lessons. This prepares the students both mentally and physically to participate in gymnastics.
- We teach skills in a logical manner. Basic skills are perfected before more difficult ones are attempted. Skill selection is always at the discretion of our program director and staff.
